Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Boston, MA

Contract | Rotating Shifts (12-hour weekend shifts and 8-hour weekday shifts) | Onsite

• Circulate and/or scrub surgical cases including Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Cardiac, and Exploratory Laparotomy procedures in a high-volume OR environment
• Participate in weekend shift rotations and on-call assignments in accordance with unit scheduling requirements
• Fulfill perioperative call obligations equivalent to permanent staff, including weekday and weekend call shifts across assigned call centers
• Respond to call within the required 45-minute response time
• Operate within a 23-suite OR performing approximately 75 cases per day
• Document and manage patient care using the EPIC electronic medical records system

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
  
  Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Demonstrated experience circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma surgical cases
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour weekend shifts and 8-hour weekday shifts
• Availability for weeknight and weekend call (3–4 weeknight call shifts and 1 weekend call shift per 4-week period)

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Scrubbing experience in Neuro, Ortho, and/or Trauma cases
• Experience circulating Cardiac and Eye cases

• Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Center OR with a diverse and complex surgical caseload
• Self-scheduling flexibility available within unit guidelines
