Description:
ASAP starts only. Must end by June 1st. Manager will conduct interviews; no pre-screening required. Available housing leads can be provided upon request. Unit consists of 23 operating suites. Average number of cases per day is 75. Shifts are self-scheduled within reason; block scheduling is not guaranteed. Charge nurse is present on all shifts and takes an assignment. Nurses work 12-hour shifts on weekends in rotation with other staff.
Nurses may also be asked to work 8-hour shifts during the week in rotation. Weekend rotation and call are at the discretion of the manager. All travelers are required to take the same amount of call as permanent staff. Cancellation policy details are not applicable. Charting system is EPIC. Floating requirements are not applicable. Scrubbing is not required but is considered a bonus.
Call response time is within 45 minutes. Nurses are expected to take 1 weekend shift per 4-week period and 3-4 weeknight shifts per 4-week period. Weekend shifts rotation includes 2 weekend shifts for some staff per month, with a rotation for others. Specific call center assignments will be communicated to staff. Nurses may sign up in tech spots for call but can be bumped if too many nurses occupy tech slots.
