Department Overview

The Interventional Radiology/ Cath Lab is part of the Integrated Procedural Platform. Services include cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, ablations, pacemaker implantation, vascular and neurointerventional procedures, and minimally invasive structural heart interventions.

Position Summary

As an RN, you will deliver nursing care in cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology/neurointerventional radiology, working within a patient‑centered model. You will coordinate care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and support quality‑improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients.
  • Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families.
  • Coordinate and delegate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records.
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
  • Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies.
  • Assist leadership with quality‑improvement projects as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts.
  • 1+ year RN experience preferred.
  • BLS certification mandatory; ACLS certification required in certain units.
  • Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
  • Relevant clinical experience, with specialty certification required for certain practice areas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform job responsibilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluency in another language is a plus.
  • Previous ICU experience, moderate sedation experience, and previous Cath/IR experience strongly preferred.
