American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an inpatient rehab/stroke unit position requiring an active MA RN license and evening shift availability.

• Work on a 30-bed inpatient adult rehabilitation unit with private rooms specializing in stroke and brain injury care
• May occasionally care for other neuro diagnosis patients (MS, Parkinson's) and musculoskeletal rehab patients (post-op hip, knee)
• Evening shift schedule (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with 8-hour shifts
• 32 hours per week, working every other weekend
• Float to other units as needs arise
• Uses EPIC for charting and documentation

• Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license
• Experience with EPIC documentation preferred
• Competency in PICC line care and blood draws, IV antibiotics, and TPN administration required
• Experience with tube feeding (NGT, G-tube, GJ-tube) required
• EKG proficiency required
• Wound care experience required, including wound vac dressings and simple wound dressings
• Foley catheter and intermittent catheterization experience required
• Bladder irrigation and trach care experience required
• Blood transfusion administration experience required
• Experience caring for ostomies and various drains (JP drains) required
• Experience with patient restraints required

• Provide direct nursing care to stroke and brain injury rehabilitation patients in a specialized inpatient unit
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the Boston facility to be eligible for the local rate
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
