BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS (must be active and unexpired). Must-Have:
Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks. Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher.
Description:
Position is for a night shift with hours from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The schedule requires two weekends in a four-week period. The position includes on-call holiday work. Candidates must be flexible with floating to other areas as required. This includes working in various settings such as Pediatric Emergency Department, caring for patients aged 15 and older (previous pediatric experience preferred).
The emergency department is very busy, holding up to 120 treatment areas and serving 350 to 440 patients daily. Patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4-5 depending on patient acuity. Travelers will not be assigned to trauma rooms during the assignment. Previous experience with EPIC and critical care is preferred.
