Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery​/Night

Registered Nurses in Labor and Delivery provide the highest quality of care to our diverse patient population. As a Labor and Delivery nurse you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Schedule:

24 Hours (Day/Night, Every Third Weekend / Holiday Rotation)

• Deliver exceptional nursing care in the, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree:
  Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred),
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advance Certification required within 8 weeks of hire.
• 2 years registered nurse experience
• Labor and Delivery RN experience preferred
• Experience with electronic health record preferred
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Fluency in another language a plus.

• Compensation Range: $39.80- $93.69 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
