RN – Labor and Delivery

Boston, MA | Acute Care

Contract | 12-hour shifts, Day/Night Rotation (7:00 AM–7:30 PM & 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients within a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit performing approximately 3,000 deliveries per year
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips; must pass telemetry competency test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
• Perform OR circulator duties in obstetric operating and recovery rooms
• Monitor and manage high-risk obstetric patients across labor rooms, triage rooms, and operating/recovery areas
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings using EPIC electronic health records

• Minimum 2 recent years of Labor and Delivery RN experience
• OR circulator experience required (CNM experience will not be considered)
• Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Current BLS certification required (copy must be provided)
• Current NRP certification required — all lessons must be completed and certification must not expire during the assignment (copy must be provided)
• Evidence of completing an Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring course (preferably AWHONN) required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be placed at a local rate

• Experience in high-risk obstetrics
• Completion of a Dysrhythmia/Telemetry Interpretation course
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records

• Work in a dynamic, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit with a diverse and complex patient population
• Gain experience across a full-service unit including labor rooms, triage, and obstetric OR/recovery settings
