Boston Medical Center – Brighton invites qualified nurses to join our operating room team.
About the RolePosition:
Registered Nurse (Operating Room).
Location:
Brighton, Boston.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, 4-10 hour shifts (call required).
- Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
- Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records.
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC-Brighton's nursing organization.
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
- Nursing degree:
Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). - Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
- Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS).
- CNOR certification (preferred).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
- 2 years’ registered nurse experience required.
- 1 year of operating room experience (2 years preferred).
- Must be experienced in a circulating role.
- Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Fluency in another language is a plus.

- Compensation range: $39.02-$90.05 per hour.
