Per Diem Nurse; RN; Cancer Center - MGH

About This Role

The Per Diem Nurse (RN) in the Cancer Center at Mass General Brigham is responsible for providing improved clinical care to oncology patients, focusing on complex care issues and timely triage of clinical matters to advanced practice providers and medical oncologists.

• Pay: $41.72 - $105.65/Hourly
• Location: Boston, MA
• Facility: The General Hospital Corporation
• Schedule: Per Diem
• Department/Unit: Cancer Center

• Provide indirect patient care to oncology patients.
• Conduct initial nursing evaluations and develop care plans.
• Assist with daily telephone triage and urgent medical problems.
• Coordinate infusions and injections as needed.
• Assess psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Manage ongoing patient care via telephone (prescriptions, teaching).
• Attend and participate in team meetings as required.
• Document relevant patient information in EPIC.
• Collaborate with practice staff (RN, research, APP, MD, Admin, MA/PCA).
• Maintain communication with healthcare team members.

Education:

• BSN required

Experience:

• 3-5 years oncology nursing experience required

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Massachusetts
• Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy/Biotherapy required
• OCN preferred
