Overview

Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in a hospital setting, Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Starts October 5, 2026 for 14 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,471-$2,587 with guaranteed 48 hours per week. Shift options are 12-hour shifts (7 am-7 pm, 11 am-11 pm, or 3 pm-3 am).

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to ED patients, including triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization.
  • Monitor patient status with telemetry, administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver timely, safe patient care and documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
  • Respond to emergencies, participate in codes, and support patient and family education and discharge planning.
  • Maintain appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios (typical ED range approximately 1:4-5 depending on acuity) and adapt to varying charting, imaging, and procedural needs.
  • Float to Psych ED and Pedi ED areas (care for patients age 15+ in pedi settings when required), with pediatric experience preferred but not required.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience and/or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience.
  • Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; pass Telemetry Test on Day 1 (85%+).
  • Active certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (must be active/unexpired).
  • EPIC experience preferred; prior travel assignment experience and critical care experience are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume ED and to float to related areas as needed.
