Travel RN - Surgical ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical/Burn ICU position requiring active MA licensure and prior ICU and travel nursing experience.

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start and upon expiration via NURSYS and BON

• Work in the Burn ICU/Surgical ICU unit of a major academic hospital
• Cares for adult complex surgical patients including burn cases, along with acutely ill medical patients (both SICU and MICU-type)
• Thermal burn patients currently make up less than 10% of the unit's caseload
• Closed ICU model with a multispecialty care team including APPs, residents, and 24/7 in-house attending physicians
• 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts
• Requires working weekends and holidays
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provide critical care nursing support within a collaborative, multidisciplinary ICU team
• Supports admitting surgical teams, consultants, APPs, and critical care fellows
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the hospital and will be subject to a reduced pay rate
• Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• Parking is not validated; public transportation or paid public parking lots are available nearby
