IPM Technician-Boston MA

Pestend Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IPM Technician to join our team in Boston, MA. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technicians are crucial to our mission of providing environmentally sensitive and effective pest control solutions. This role involves assessing pest problems, implementing and monitoring control strategies that are both economical and least hazardous to humans, animals, and plants. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pest biology and habitat, coupled with the skill to utilize this knowledge in developing tailored IPM plans for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting premises and assessing pest problems accurately, determining types of treatment needed to eliminate pests effectively.
• Implementing IPM strategies such as biological controls, chemical, and non-chemical management tactics based on specific pest issues, site characteristics, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring and documenting effectiveness of all implemented IPM plans, modifying strategies as needed to ensure long-term pest prevention.
• Communicating with clients, providing education and recommendations for preventing future pest problems.
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring the safe use and storage of pesticides.
• Adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control, safety, and environmental compliance.
