Quality Assurance; QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer for the PA Health Data Platforms team to play a core part in the software development, maintenance and delivery process of complex cloud‑based systems delivering sensitive clinical data.

• Ensure the highest quality standards for our products through test planning, design and execution.
• Apply manual and automated testing, including API and UI testing, to validate end‑to‑end web application interactions.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and cross‑functional teams to define and execute test strategies within agile frameworks.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to Dev Ops practices.
• Maintain reliable and scalable test environments using version control, database management and scripting.

• 7-10 years of industry experience as a QA Engineer.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, including Playwright or similar.
• Familiarity with Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) using frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience in implementing both API and UI testing to validate end‑to‑end web app interactions.
• Ability to balance manual and automated testing efforts.
• Solid understanding of test planning, design and overall management of the QA lifecycle.
• Practical experience with functional, regression, exploratory and manual testing methodologies.
• Skills in defining and executing test strategies within agile frameworks.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git Hub Actions and Azure Dev Ops.
• Proficiency in version control and environment provisioning.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying and managing databases in test environments.
• Experience with Shell/Bash scripting to automate test workflows.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to advocate for QA best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

The salary range for this role is between $118,000 - $180,000.
