Lead / Manager QA Engineer
This client is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer / QA Manager based in the Greater Boston area with a requirement of 4 days onsite. You will be joining a global investment management firm focused on delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions that support critical financial systems and enterprise applications. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for extension. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role where you will drive QA strategy, build and optimize automation frameworks, and lead distributed/offshore QA teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical depth and leadership, with a passion for automation-first testing, CI/CD integration, and shift-left quality practices.
- 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
- Strong hands-on experience building and scaling automation frameworks (selenium, Cypress, or similar)
- Proficiency in Java for test automation development
- Experience with BDD frameworks and Gherkin
- Proven experience leading onshore/offshore QA teams across multiple time zones
- Hands-on experience integrating QA into CI/Cd pipelines
- Experience leveraging AI tools for test generation, automation, or defect analysis
- Strong understanding of test data management, defect governance, and quality metrics
- Experience with security performance, and scalability testing
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team building experience
- Background in investment management, trading systems, or financial services
- Experience with API testing and database validation
- Experience reducing flaky test and improve pipeline reliability
