Design and maintain comprehensive QA test suites for the Verisk Casualty Catastrophe Model
Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and customer success analysts to understand workflows, use cases, and requirements
Create and maintain test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
Partner with developers to design and implement automated test scripts and maintain automation frameworks
Execute manual and automated testing, focusing on REST API testing, system-level testing, and complex data-driven workflows
Validate algorithms and ensure products meet exacting accuracy requirements
Document analytical work in Python's Jupyter Notebook or R Markdown
Participate in cross-functional Agile Scrum teams and use automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle
Enhance existing QA best practices
Engage stakeholders to clarify requirements, assumptions, and quality expectations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in STEM-related areas (data science, engineering, science, mathematics, finance, economics)
5-7 years of related work experience
Experience developing or testing cloud-native UI and API products (REST/gRPC), web applications, and cloud-testing environments
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and demonstrated experience building test strategies
Familiarity with Cypress and Playwright
Familiarity with Git Hub, Bitbucket, and Azure Dev Ops
Familiarity with HTML, JSON, XML, and YAML
Exposure to cloud infrastructure and the AWS ecosystem
Understanding of product use by clients, edge cases, and underlying assumptions
Commitment to continuous process improvement
