Are you an experienced affordable housing professional whoenjoys working independently and knows Section 8 compliance? Wingate Management Company is looking for an Assistant Property Manager to support two properties from one office in Allston, MA.
This is a great opportunity for someone who isself-motivated and comfortable managing their day with minimal supervision. Theoffice is typically very quiet, with most resident traffic related to recertifications and scheduled needs.
What You’ll Do
- Support the day-to-day management of two affordable housing properties, including
Section 8 compliance, annual/interim recertifications, EIV, move-ins,move-outs, and maintaining accurate resident files. - Review income and household documentation, meet recertification deadlines, andensure files remain compliant with HUD and Section 8 requirements.
- Process resident payments, invoices, and other property-related financial paperwork while maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate with residents regarding recertifications, documentation, account questions, and other property needs.
- Independently manage priorities and deadlines across both properties while working in aquiet, low-traffic office environment.
- Utilize property management software; experience with Real Page/One Site is strongly preferred.
What We’re Looking For
- Theideal candidate has previous experience with Section 8 or affordable housing and a strong understanding of recertifications and the EIVdatabase.
- Youshould be highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working independently.
- Experience with HUD/Section 8, EIV, recertifications, move-ins and move-outs, payment processing, invoices, and resident files is important for success in this position.
- Real Page/One Site experience is preferred.
