RESEARCH STUDY ASSISTANT, School of Medicine, Neurology
The Boston University Alzheimers Disease Research Center (BU ADRC), the BU CTE Center and the Framingham Heart Study Brain Aging Program (FHS BAP) facilitate and conduct cutting-edge research on AD and AD related dementias (ADRDs), including chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). These Centers and Programs clinically characterize research participants, generate and analyze data, train new researchers and create infrastructure to support local and national research initiatives related to AD/ADRDs, including CTE.
The requested position would work with Dr. Jesse Mez, PI of the newly NIH- funded R01 grant research project. The Research Study Assistant will be responsible for organizing and digitally scanning neuropathology slides, conducting clinical interviews with informants for UNITE Brain Bank donors, presenting brain donor cases at UNITE consensus conferences and intermittently carrying a pager and being on-call for brain donations.

CompensationExpected Hiring Range Minimum: $17.50
Expected Hiring Range Maximum: $28.03
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Required SkillsBachelor's degree required and 12 months or less experience required.
