Job Description
The Quantitative Biosciences Department at our Company's Research Laboratories is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our In‑Vivo Pharmacology group at our Research Labs in Boston. The successful candidate will develop disease models, plan, design and execute in‑vivo pharmacologic or mechanistic studies, collect and analyze data, and write reports in support of research and development programs in immunology and oncology therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities- Plan, design and execute in‑vivo pharmacological experiments to support and advance drug discovery programs in immunology and oncology.
- Characterize and optimize in vitro, ex vivo or in vivo assays at scale to support potential compound screening, biomarker identification and mechanism of action studies.
- Run validation and research operating plan (ROP) assays for test articles with appropriate benchmarks.
- Maintain timely, accurate laboratory records of activities and comply with good documentation practices.
- Effectively collaborate with integrated teams in a matrix organization setting to facilitate the conduct of studies and drive the success of discovery programs.
- M.S. in Immunology, Pharmacology, Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related STEM field with 1+ year of relevant postgraduate experience.
- B.S. with 3+ years of relevant post‑graduate in‑vivo experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or research laboratory setting.
- Hands‑on experience with in‑vivo models, particularly related to autoimmune disease or tumor immunology.
- Experience in PK/PD models and autoimmune/tumor efficacy studies.
- Proficiency with ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry and other immunological assay skills.
- Working knowledge of standard data analysis tools such as Graph Pad Prism, Flow Jo, and Microsoft programs.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to collate results and present to stakeholders.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively with peers within and across departments.
- Autoimmune diseases, cell‑based assays, drug discovery process, flow cytometry, immunoassays, immunology, inflammatory diseases, in vivo pharmacology, mouse handling, mouse models, oncology, tumor models.
Salary range: $98,000.00 – $. The successful candidate will be eligible for an annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
