Senior Research Associate, Biology

About the Opportunity

Senior Research Associate – laboratory-based role. The successful candidate will conduct cellular assays, develop novel cellular models, and elucidate complex mechanisms-of-action to support pharmacology strategy and drug discovery.

• Develop cellular and biochemical assays to support in vitro pharmacology studies and generate novel in vitro‑based disease models.
• Screen compounds through biochemical and cellular assays to support medicinal chemistry & drug development decisions.
• Support mechanism‑of‑action and biomarker selection by executing downstream analyses of tissues emerging from in vivo pharmacology studies.
• Design, execute, and troubleshoot mechanistic experiments to understand the biological activity of small molecules.
• Analyze and interpret data independently to recommend key next steps for project teams.
• Document research processes clearly and communicate progress to the project team and to a broader company‑wide audience.

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in biology or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience in a drug discovery setting.
• Experience in cell culture, cell engineering, and cell‑based assays with diverse cell lines and primary immune cells derived from PBMCs.
• Proficiency with MSD, ELISA, immunofluorescence staining and imaging, RNA extractions, RT‑qPCR, Western blotting, CRISPR, construct design, transfection/transduction, and multicolor flow cytometry.
• Familiarity with compound screening using reporter gene assays, HiBit, NanoBRET, HTRF, and/or Alpha
  
  LISA.
• Prior experience handling various mouse tissues and liquid‑handling/robotics is a plus.
• Self‑motivated, scientifically driven, able to independently plan, execute, and present experiments in a fast‑paced team.
