Overview

Responsibilities

+  Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids, and gaseous materials.

+  Optimize lab procedures to produce reliable results that impact research and development, quality control, and environmental standards.

+  Handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances, reporting findings to the laboratory manager.

+  Receive, label, and analyze samples such as blood, toxic, and tissue specimens.

+  Design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, making observations and interpreting findings.

+  Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject hypotheses using scientific methods.

+  Organize and store chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases following safety instructions.

+  Record all data and results accurately in specified forms (paper and electronic).

+  Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in ordering supplies.

+  Follow all safety guidelines strictly and maintain a clean, orderly environment.

Requirements

+  Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

+  Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, terminology, materials, and substances.

+  Skilled in the use of laboratory equipment, statistical calculations, and report preparation.

+  Excellent communication and coordination skills.

+  An analytical mindset with proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+  

Experience with repetitive tasks and handling small intricate parts is a plus.
