Position: RESEARCH ASSISTANT, School of Public Health, Department of Health, Law, Policy and Management

Position Overview

Research Assistant (RA) position at Boston University Medical Campus located in Boston, MA. Full-Time / Regular.

Salary Grade:
Grade 44. Expected Hiring Range Minimum: $18.00. Expected Hiring Range Maximum: $28.00. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Research Assistant is to screen, recruit, enroll and interview research participants for the purpose of collecting study data. The Research Assistant will also track participants over time, conduct follow-up interviews and data collection. Additionally, the Research Assistant will assist with the development of protocols, standard operating procedures, reports, forms and assessments, perform data entry and quality control procedures for the ongoing research, and provide administrative support to the study (i.e., scheduling meetings, preparing circulating meeting agendas and minutes for regular study team meetings, filing study-related documents, etc.).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree, and will have a strong interest in issues surrounding alcohol and other drug use, and a desire to work with populations impacted by substance use.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of related experience.
