General Summary
The CGT Pharmacology group in Boston is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Pharmacology Research Scientist to work collaboratively across the Research organization to support pharmacology efforts that advance understanding of the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy of novel cell and gene therapies in disease models.
Key Duties And Responsibilities- Design, optimize, and execute preclinical PK, immunoassay, and cell assays to support pharmacology research efforts.
- Use scientific judgment and creative thinking to adapt and create standardized workflows and protocols.
- Take ownership of daily tasks, research answers, and contact other subject matter experts before soliciting support.
- Prioritize workload based on project impact.
- Communicate and collaborate within and across functions to support programs from early discovery through preclinical proof of concept and candidate selection.
- Author and review bioanalytical reports for regulatory filings.
- Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to project teams and senior leadership.
- Possess a strong understanding of the drug development process and showcase enterprise thinking.
- Technical proficiency and demonstrated skill in planning and interpreting experiments, including measurement of the action of cell/gene therapies on in vitro or in vivo disease biology assays (PK/PD, ligand binding assays, primary cell/tissue culture, immune cell assays, custom multiplex, flow cytometry).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to operate automated assay systems and analyze data to interpret complex data sets (Hamilton, Integra, etc.).
- Proficiency in data analysis software and tools (Graph Pad Prism, Spotfire, Flow Jo, VENUS lab automation software, etc.).
- Assess situations using existing knowledge and best practices, proactively seeking assistance when boundaries or technical limitations are reached.
- Demonstrate understanding of analysis and interpretation of complex experimental data with proficiency in problem solving and protocol refinement.
- Effective written and verbal communication, and presentation skills within a collaborative team environment.
- Often deployed to investigations with significant consequences requiring reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of industry experience.
- Master’s degree and 5 years of industry experience.
- PhD and 3 years of industry experience.
$110,900 - $166,300
BenefitsEligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
