Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow or Research Scientist to join a dynamic research program focused on molecular and cellular biology, tissue engineering, and bioengineering, with an emphasis on musculoskeletal and joint tissues.
This role will contribute to the development of advanced in vitro systems, including organ‑on‑chip and 3D engineered models in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The position level will be determined based on experience, scientific independence, and demonstrated contributions.
This is an onsite position in the Discovery Center for Musculoskeletal Recovery at Spaulding Rehabilitation, an affiliated hospital of Harvard Medical School.
What You Will Do- Design and execute research experiments aligned with ongoing projects and grant objectives
- Develop and apply advanced experimental approaches, including tissue engineering and in‑vitro modeling
- Analyze and interpret data using appropriate statistical and computational tools
- Contribute to manuscripts, publications, and scientific presentations
- Collaborate with internal and external research partners
- Support grant applications through data generation and/or writing
- Mentor and train students or junior lab members
- Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field
- Strong background in laboratory research and experimental design
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Research Fellow: 3‑5 years of research experience preferred
- Research Scientist: 5‑7+ years of research experience (inclusive of graduate and post‑doctoral experience) required
The expected starting pay range for a Research Fellow is $70,000 - $71,500. The expected starting pay range for a Research Scientist is $60,000 - $96,000.
