Salary Grade 43: $41,643 – $42,000 annually.
Position DescriptionThe Nelson Lau lab in the Department of Biochemistry at the Boston University School of Medicine is looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree. Prior genetics, molecular biology or biochemistry experience is preferred, and genomics and deep sequencing experience will also be a plus. Our group studies basic gene regulation mechanisms by small RNAs and the RNA interference pathway in model organisms.
Specifically, we are interested in dissecting the molecular mechanisms of RNAi in the control of viruses and transposons during animal aging and brain function. The candidate will work on NIH grant‑supported investigations into how transposons mobilize and become expressed in model organism cells, such as Drosophila, mouse, and mosquito cells.

Qualifications & Requirements- Bachelor's degree in life sciences required.
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
