Research Assistant II
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine and specialized laboratory experimental, specimen preparations and experimental procedures for the purpose of research. Utilizes specialized laboratory equipment and analysis of data generated by this equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting procedures if experimental results are unexpected or quality of specimens is poor.
- Suggesting alternative routine procedures to crosscheck own findings.
- Performing techniques typically required for the laboratory/study.
- Assisting with planning specific research procedures, coordinating schedules of experiments and procedures. Developing and troubleshooting new techniques specific to the lab.
- Maintaining accurate records of results and methodologies into a log of work performed. Compiling and helping analyze data, preparing charts, graphs, and results of studies.
- Demonstrating basic laboratory techniques to laboratory assistants and technicians, research fellows, residents and students. Contributing to the team within and between departments and organizations.
Minimum qualifications education:
- A bachelor's degree in addition to two years of relevant research experience; or, a master's degree in addition to one year of relevant research experience.

Standard Hours per Week: 40
Pay Range: $44657.60-$69773.60 Annual
