Job DescriptionThe Hotamışlıgil Lab at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health is looking for a Research Associate, with specialization in project management and strategic alliance ship. The Research Associate will work closely with the lab members, coordinate and advise projects, oversee the development, execution, and evaluation of high-impact collaborations. This role benefits from a strong scientific background, preferably in antibody-based therapeutic development, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to navigate the academic–industry interface to advance research and innovation.
Acting as a trusted “right hand” to the Principal Investigator (PI), the incumbent will provide strategic, operational, and logistical support to ensure that partnership initiatives run smoothly, deliverables are met, and institutional goals are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring alignment of collaborations with institutional research goals, compliance requirements, IP considerations, and sponsor expectations.
- Leading project management: developing and maintaining detailed project plans, tracking progress, managing risk, and escalating issues as needed.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams of faculty, research staff, regulatory personnel, and external partners; supervising day‑to‑day research operations as appropriate.
- Championing rigorous record‑keeping, data analysis, and documentation to support publications, regulatory filings, and sponsor reporting.
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of progress reports, milestone deliverables, and regulatory documents.
- Preparing briefing materials, data summaries, and strategic recommendations for the PI; representing the PI in selected meetings and communications.
The role requires an advanced degree (MD, PhD, ScD or equivalent), typically with at least 2 years of postdoctoral research experience; 5–10 years of biopharma/biotech or drug development experience and hands‑on therapeutic antibody and/or biologics experience are strongly preferred. A strong track record in scientific communication, strategic thinking, project execution, and familiarity with intellectual property and industry partnerships is essential. This on‑campus position is based in Boston, MA.
