Job Description
As a member of Takeda Oncology’s Global Health Economics team, you will report to the Head of Global Health Economics and US HEOR and contribute to the company’s mission to cure cancer. Your work will focus on driving value‑demonstration strategies for the global oncology portfolio, leading global health‑economics plans, mobilizing cross‑functional stakeholders, and shaping enterprise‑level evidence frameworks.
Global Value Proposition- Drive and deliver differentiated, evidence‑based value propositions that secure HTA/payer decisions, accelerate market access, and sustain competitive advantage.
- Direct co‑development with Global Pricing, Value & Access and other leaders to build compelling value narratives that influence payer decisions worldwide.
- Identify and prioritize high‑value opportunities, including new indications, lifecycle extensions, and innovative contracting models.
- Provide enterprise‑wide vision and leadership to secure HTA, payer, and market‑access objectives, integrating payer and real‑world data needs across global, regional, and local programs.
- Pioneer new approaches—digital, data science, and AI—to transform evidence generation and respond to dynamic global value trends.
- Review recommendations for advanced evidence needs such as real‑world evidence and patient‑centered outcomes to ensure alignment with emerging payer trends.
- Lead incorporation of innovative, payer‑relevant endpoints in clinical development and maintain HTA readiness.
- Set benchmarks for scientific rigor in HEOR studies and ensure continuous innovation and external credibility with HTA bodies and payers.
- Implement global HE strategies and tools—including Value Platforms, dossiers, and value‑based contract toolkits—to build consistent capability across regions and local operating companies.
- Co‑lead conceptualization and execution of value‑based contract options in collaboration with Market Access and Pricing.
- Continuously update all HE and Market Access tools in response to evolving evidence and payer environments.
- Serve as the enterprise expert and spokesperson for Takeda’s global product value proposition, proactively engaging and influencing HTA policy and payer decisions.
- Monitor and anticipate global HTA/reimbursement trends to guide and transform Takeda’s HE and access strategies at the enterprise level.
- Elevate Takeda’s visibility through global HEOR communications, policy publications, and industry discourse.
- Lead global communication strategy, translating complex analyses into actionable value stories for executives, payers, and policymakers.
- Mobilize, empower, and align cross‑functional and external networks to deliver enterprise‑wide HEOR and Market Access innovation.
- Manage advanced collaborations with HE opinion leaders, vendors, and academic partners, ensuring continuous capability building.
- Doctorate with 7+ years of experience, Master’s with 9+ years, or Bachelor’s with 12+ years in the healthcare industry; direct experience in global product value proposition development and interaction with payers, HTA bodies, and policymakers.
- Robust understanding of the global payer environment and in‑depth knowledge of ex‑US payer landscapes, including NICE, CADTH, PBAC, EU JCA, US Medicare Part D, ICER, and emerging markets.
- Hands‑on experience in health‑economics tools, HTA filings, systematic literature reviews, ITCs, statistical analyses, and economic modeling.
- Strong knowledge of clinical and epidemiological data, global pricing models, and outcomes research (PROs, modeling).
- Leadership skills with the ability to thrive in a highly matrixed organization.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and written and oral communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
- Influencing skills and consensus building to drive decision‑making.
- Ability to translate technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
- 5‑10% domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Previous experience in hematology and/or oncology.
