Laboratory Research Technician — Improving Anesthesia Recovery

Onsite at MGB Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Charlestown, MA
Curious how anesthetics reshape brain metabolism and influence post‑operative cognitive recovery? Join our team and learn hands‑on techniques in the translational neuroscience of anesthesia while working across the Brown lab at MIT and Yen lab ngside me and a multidisciplinary team of MRI physicists and neuroscientists, you’ll help carry out longitudinal, simultaneous in‑vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and EEG. This is an ideal role for those preparing for graduate or medical training.
ResponsibilitiesYou will help carry out longitudinal, simultaneous in‑vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and EEG, supporting research across multiple projects, and collaborate with MR physicists and neuroscientists.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher in science
- Previous bench work experience
- Experience working with rodent models highly preferred
- Strong motivation, teamwork, and communication skills
- Preparation for graduate or medical training is desirable
