Postdoctoral Fellow in Neurobiology (Goodrich Lab)
We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Goodrich lab at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. The work of the Goodrich lab is focused on the development and function of auditory circuits in mice. We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in this or related fields, particularly those who may bring a new technology or perspective to bear on the work in the lab.
Successful applicants will have completed research projects into the electrophysiological properties of auditory brain-stem neurons and how those properties are established by combinations of ion channels. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Goodrich to develop an independent research project within the scope of the lab's research focus. In addition to carrying out bench research, the successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed, and otherwise contribute to overall lab operations and collaborative environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in areas such as neuroscience or related fields>3 years of hands-on experience performing electrophysiological recording and analyzing and interpreting the data
