The Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) work to safeguard environmental resources, preserve open spaces, and advance clean energy solutions across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

• Assist DCR archaeological staff in limited field excavation projects at several DCR properties.
• Support the recording and curation of DCR’s archaeological collections collected from DCR-managed properties.
• Participate in background research for excavation projects, including visits to the Massachusetts Historical Commission.
• Examine artifacts, count, clean, describe, categorize, draw, date, and photograph them.
• Add processed data to the collections database.

• Experience in Anthropology, Archaeology, or Museum Studies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, and related office software.
