** Job Description
** The Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences team is a formulation sciences group embedded within Drug Discovery at our Company Research Laboratories. We work closely with multidisciplinary project teams to profile molecules, develop formulation strategies, and generate critical data that supports candidate selection and progression into clinical development.
We are seeking a motivated scientist to join an experienced discovery formulation team supporting biologics and small molecule programs. This is an excellent opportunity to develop broad pharmaceutical sciences expertise while working on molecules that directly influence key project decisions.##
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and characterize biologic and small molecule formulations to support discovery and development programs.
* Conduct pre-formulation and stability studies to evaluate molecule performance.
* Utilize analytical techniques including: SEC-HPLC HPLC-UV CE-SDS Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) UV/Vis spectrophotometry Other relevant characterization methods
* Prepare samples using both manual laboratory techniques and automated liquid-handling systems.
* Document experimental procedures, results, and conclusions in electronic laboratory notebooks.
* Analyze and interpret data and communicate findings to project teams.
* Collaborate closely with formulation scientists and cross-functional discovery teams.## What You'll DoA typical day may involve:
* Preparing formulations and analytical samples.
* Running stability and characterization studies.
* Performing chromatography and electrophoresis-based analyses.
* Reviewing and interpreting experimental data.
* Discussing results with scientists and contributing to project strategy.
Because our team is integrated directly with discovery programs, your work will contribute to critical molecule-selection and development decisions.## Education
* BS with 3+ years of relevant industry or academic experience, or
* MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.## Required Skills
* Strong scientific curiosity and ability to learn new concepts and techniques.
* Ability to organize, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative laboratory environment.
* Demonstrated growth mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning.##
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a laboratory environment.
* Experience with protein characterization, biologics development, or formulation sciences.
* Experience with preclinical or clinical formulation development.
* Familiarity with chromatographic, electrophoretic, or biophysical characterization techniques.
