What if your deep expertise in materials science could directly shape how AI reasons about semiconductors, molecular structures, and the physical world? We're looking for Materials Science specialists — Masters and PhD level — to work with leading AI research teams, helping build models that genuinely understand complex scientific concepts.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for working researchers and subject-matter experts. No AI background needed — just rigorous scientific knowledge and a sharp eye for accuracy.

Develop, solve, and review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance. Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related domains to design and evaluate complex problem statements. Assess the quality, rigor, and accuracy of AI-generated scientific content and reasoning. Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen model performance. Ensure scientific clarity, depth, and accuracy across all deliverables.

Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace.

  • Master's or PhD in Materials Science, or a closely related field
  • Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent areas
  • Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or analytical tasks
  • Naturally detail-oriented with high standards for scientific precision
  • Strong written communicator — able to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely
  • Fluent in English

Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows. Background in computational materials science or simulation-based research. Experience peer-reviewing scientific work or writing technical documentation. Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts as an end user.
