** About the Opportunity
**** JOB SUMMARY
** The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will conduct independent and collaborative research at the intersection of epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, and child development. The Fellow will contribute to the design, execution, and dissemination of research examining how early environmental exposures, including biological, social, and physical factors, influence child developmental outcomes. The Fellow is expected to demonstrate methodological rigor, intellectual initiative, and the ability to translate complex quantitative findings for multidisciplinary audiences.
** QUALIFICATIONS
*
* Required:

* Doctoral degree (PhD) in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Biostatistics, Child Development, Public Health, or a closely related discipline
* Demonstrated expertise in quantitative research methodology and advanced statistical analysis, including experience with large longitudinal or population-level datasets
* Background in at least two of the following areas: epidemiological methods, environmental health science, developmental psychology or pediatric research, or biostatistics

Preferred:
* Experience with early childhood cohort studies or mother-infant research paradigms
* Familiarity with environmental exposure assessment (e.g., PFAS, air quality, nutritional biomarkers, or toxicant exposure in early life)
* Experience analyzing associations between perinatal or postnatal environmental exposures and neurodevelopmental, behavioral, or health outcomes in children
* Knowledge of causal inference methods (e.g., propensity score analysis, directed acyclic graphs, mediation analysis)
* Grant writing experience and/or demonstrated success in securing external funding
* Experience mentoring graduate or undergraduate students in a research setting
* Familiarity or experience with the Environmental influences to Child Health Outcomes national database
** KEY RESPONSIBILITIES &

ACCOUNTABILITIES
*** Design and execute statistical analyses of epidemiological and environmental health data, including longitudinal datasets from mother-infant cohort studies.
* Apply advanced biostatistical methods (e.g., mixed-effects models, mediation analysis, survival analysis) to examine associations between early environmental exposures and child developmental outcomes.
* Lead the preparation and submission of peer-reviewed manuscripts.
* Contribute to the development of grant applications targeting environmental health, child development, or epidemiological research.
* Present findings at national and international conferences.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams spanning environmental science, pediatrics, developmental psychology, and public health.
* Assist with laboratory management, IRB protocols, and data governance. Mentor and support graduate and undergraduate students in research methodology, statistical software, and scientific writing.
* Contribute to the coordination and management of ongoing research studies involving pediatric and maternal populations.

* * Expected Hiring Range:**$60,315.00 - $85,192.50
* With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
