Role Description The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct independent and collaborative research within a dynamic laboratory environment at Harvard Medical School. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and executing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, preparing figures and manuscripts for publication, and contributing to grant proposals. The role involves presenting research findings at lab meetings, seminars, and conferences, engaging with collaborators across disciplines, and supporting the training and mentoring of students or junior researchers as needed.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines for laboratory safety and research integrity. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA.
Qualifications
- Strong Laboratory Skills relevant to the research area, including experimental design, implementation, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Demonstrated Research experience with a record of peer-reviewed publications and the ability to formulate and test scientific hypotheses.
- Background in Physics or closely related quantitative disciplines, with the ability to apply theoretical and analytical concepts to biomedical questions.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis, including statistical methods, computational tools, and data visualization for complex experimental datasets.
- Teaching, mentoring, or supervision experience, with the ability to support the development of students and junior team members.
- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant field obtained by the start date.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including scientific writing and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, interdisciplinary team and to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience with grant writing, interdisciplinary collaboration, or translational research is a plus.
