Job Summary

Summary

Join our team as a Sr. Research Lab Tech in the laboratory of Thierry Nordmann, MD, PhD. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and detail‑oriented professional eager to contribute to groundbreaking research in inflammatory skin disease.

In this central role, you will run and maintain the laboratory's mass spectrometry platform and execute cutting‑edge workflows spanning human tissue processing, immunofluorescence imaging, laser microdissection, low‑input proteomic sample preparation, and ultra‑sensitive mass spectrometry.

As a member of a growing research group, you will work closely with postdoctoral and computational colleagues to generate high‑quality proteomic data on our state‑of‑the‑art Orbitrap Astral, and help establish the core methods and operational standards our group will build upon.

Core Technical Competencies

Hands‑on operation, routine maintenance, and systematic troubleshooting of complex LC‑MS setups for high‑throughput quantitative proteomics. A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on LC‑MS experience is required. Prior experience with nanoflow workflows and modern instrument stacks (specifically the Orbitrap Astral, Vanquish Neo, and Evosep One) is highly desirable.
  • Sample Preparation:
Hands‑on expertise in protein extraction and enzymatic digestion, ideally including low‑input workflows and post‑translational modification (PTM) enrichments such as phosphoproteomics.
  • Method Development:
Optimizing and troubleshooting protocols and MS acquisition methods, and documenting them as rigorous laboratory SOPs.
  • Tissue and Imaging:
Practical experience with human tissue sectioning (cryosectioning and FFPE), immunofluorescence staining, or laser microdissection (LMD/LCM) is a strong advantage.
