West Monroe is seeking entry-level Market Research Interns to join our Inspired Health team in our Boston office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in healthcare market research, working alongside industry experts in a vibrant and innovative sector.

Inspired Health is West Monroe’s Boston-based insight consultancy. We partner with leading healthcare companies to design qualitative and quantitative research programs that support the innovation, sales, and marketing of medicines and medical devices. As part of West Monroe, our team combines deep healthcare research expertise with consulting, technology, and data capabilities to help clients make informed business decisions and bring meaningful healthcare solutions to market.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Market Research Associate, you will join a small, agile, multidisciplinary team known as an Insight Pod. Your pod will provide mentorship, training, and hands‑on experience across a variety of qualitative and quantitative research engagements. You will support associates, managers, and pod leaders in the execution of custom research projects for healthcare clients while developing your consulting and research capabilities.

In your pod you will be exposed to both Qualitative and Quantitative research project:

Qualitative:

  • Working with our vendors to identify and recruit research participants (such as physicians, patients or caregivers)

  • Scheduling and organizing in‑depth research interviews and focus groups

  • Viewing interviews conducted by your pod, taking notes, and identifying themes and findings that answer research objectives

Quantitative:

  • Working with our internal teams to program and test research questionnaires developed by your pod

  • Working with fieldwork vendors to identify and recruit research participants

  • Monitoring fieldwork progress, quota management and quality control

Qualitative & Quantitative:

  • Participate in whiteboard and brainstorming sessions at the end of fieldwork (we call them “Data Parties”!) where you will be encouraged to contribute to conversations around research findings and implications

  • Work with our Data Visualization department to support the creation of impactful and beautiful research presentations, that answer objectives and inspire action

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working as part of a team

  • Ability to stay organized and manage priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Demonstrated leadership through academics, extracurricular activities, or prior work experience

  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without limitation or sponsorship now or in the future (e.g., OPT, H-1B visa, TN, etc.)

  • Inspired Health is located in the heart of downtown Boston. Applicants must live in the Boston Metro area (or have an intention/plan to relocate). While we are practicing a hybrid working model this role is not a remote opportunity

  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50%); travel expenses covered by West Monroe

  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day‑to‑day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high‑quality outputs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Majors in:

  • Interest in market research for the medical and healthcare industry

  • Interest in practicing a range of research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative

  • Proficient in Excel and Power Point

  • A proactive desire to continue to broaden and deepen your business and consulting skills

  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the pay rate for this role is $40.00.
