Coda Restaurant Group is seeking a General Manager to lead the front‑of‑house team for a new project opening later this year. We are looking for a hospitality‑driven professional who understands that strong culture, disciplined systems, and financial performance must work together. The General Manager will have full ownership of the guest experience, team development, and overall operational execution.

Coda Restaurant Group – SRV, The Salty Pig, Gufo, and Baleia was founded over twenty years ago and has been lucky to open some of Boston’s most beloved neighborhood restaurants. Each property has a distinct identity, but all share a commitment to the highest quality food and beverage programs, genuine hospitality and exceeding our guests expectations. We are a hands‑on ownership group that believes in empowering chefs while maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all front‑of‑house operations
  • Build, hire, and develop the opening service and management team
  • Drive labor performance and financial accountability
  • Lead onboarding and HR management for the team including payroll
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and guest engagement
  • Handle conflict resolution, disciplinary conversations, and team accountability with fairness, directness, and timeliness
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef to ensure cohesive leadership
  • Implement systems that create consistency, accountability, and growth
  • Develop strong long‑term guest connections that create regularity in the business including leading on guest recovery and special guest experiences
  • Create and foster a collaborative, hospitality‑centric environment that allows long‑term business success
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in restaurant management
  • Strong financial and business management experience
  • Proven ability to build and retain high‑performing teams
  • Clear communication and calm leadership under pressure
  • Drive to create special, hospitality centric experiences
  • Experience in high‑volume, full‑service environments
