Imagine Café, powered by Iggy's Bread of the World, opened eighteen months ago in the heart of Huron Village, Cambridge, as a neighborhood café rooted in the 30‑year legacy of Iggy's Bread. Open seven days a week from 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Imagine Café is passionate about excellent quality coffee beverages, thoughtfully prepared health drinks, and pastries and croissants that are proofed and baked on site throughout the day.

Imagine also operates as a wine bar two nights a week from 5:30 pm–9:00 pm, serving a small variety of well‑curated wine by the glass and snacks to accompany the beverage program.

Imagine Café is seeking an experienced, operationally focused Café Manager to lead all aspects of day‑to‑day café operations. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for consistency, efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and professionalism across the café. The Café Manager owns scheduling, ordering, inventory, team leadership, and operational systems, while coordinating closely with the broader Iggy's organization. Strong execution, clear communication, and the ability to lead from the floor are essential.

• Oversee daily café operations to ensure smooth, consistent service
• Maintain standards for opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, food safety, and equipment
• Oversee daily proofing and baking of croissants to ensure consistent quality and availability throughout service
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, and product flow
• Implement and uphold operational systems that support efficiency, accuracy, and accountability

• Hire, train, manage, motivate and support café staff
• Model a high level of organization with strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Create and manage schedules aligned with business volume and labor targets
• Set clear expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Ensure proper coverage for all shifts, including weekends and special events

• Monitor labor costs, inventory usage, and waste
• Support fiscal responsibility through disciplined planning and execution
• Communicate regularly with ownership and leadership regarding performance and operational needs

• Ensure consistent quality in coffee beverages, food presentation, and service
• Address guest feedback professionally and proactively
• Maintain a warm, calm, welcoming, and well‑run café environment

• Support and manage occasional private or community events, including those held during evening hours
• Adjust staffing and operations as needed to support special programming

• Café operates 7 days a week, 7:00 am–3:00 pm
• Weekend availability is required
• Early morning availability is essential
• Flexibility for evening events is required

• 3+ years of café or hospitality management experience
• Strong operational background with scheduling, ordering, and labor management experience
• Experience in coffee‑focused or bake‑off café environments preferred
• Organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented
• A hands‑on leader who leads by example and communicates clearly

• Salary range: $65,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience
