Server Assistant

Job Description

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag while working.
• Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Set up all tables in the dining room for appropriate shift.
• Prepare iced tea, coffee, espresso, juice, hot chocolate.
• Stock necessary equipment, including linen, china, glasses, cutlery, and supplies to maintain proper meal period table settings.
• Maintain proper settings on tables during course of shift.
• Clear tables quickly and efficiently upon completion of courses.
• Complete cleaning duties utilizing corporate SOP checklist. (dusting, sweeping, wiping, polishing, etc.)

• Mix of morning, day, and evening shifts
• Full availability required for this role, for any shifts as needed
• Long hours sometimes may be required.
• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations.
• Must be able to maintain a level or organization and cleanliness.
