Fox & the Knife and Bar Volpe are hiring part time and full time Front of House Managers to join our award‑winning teams.

Chef Karen Akunowicz
’s vibrant first restaurant, Fox & the Knife, was named Best New Restaurant in America by Food & Wine and was a James Beard Award finalist for Best New Restaurant in America. Fox & the Knife is also a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient, offering traditional Italian food with a modern sensibility, focusing on handmade pastas, bright antipasti, and a dynamic Aperitivi and Amaro program.

Bar Volpe, a celebration of Southern Italian food and culture and named Best Italian Restaurant by Boston magazine, is also a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient.

We are seeking experienced Front of House Managers for both restaurants. The ideal candidate is an industry professional with at least 2 years of experience in upscale casual or fine dining restaurants. The Manager will work directly with Chef Karen and the General Manager.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, systems‑oriented hospitality professional with a high commitment to outstanding food, hospitality and guest experience.

Responsibilities & Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Service management and floor leadership
  • A passion for training and developing staff, and the ability to motivate a team
  • Creating thorough and personalized experiences for every guest
  • Scheduling and labor awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits (Amaro knowledge is a huge plus)
  • High level of organization
  • Preferred knowledge of Toast, Resy, InDesign, Google Sheets, and Excel
  • Basic website maintenance
