Job Description & Expectations

Night Shift Lovejoy Wharf is a lively and welcoming space where we celebrate great beer, delicious food, and community. As our Line Cook, you play a vital role in keeping our taproom running smoothly and our guests safe and satisfied. You will prepare menu items to spec, maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness, and help deliver a great guest experience through excellent execution and teamwork.

You’ll work closely with our culinary and taproom teams to keep service efficient, consistent, and full of good vibes — because great beer deserves great food!

If you love scratch cooking, staying organized under pressure, and being part of a tight-knit team, this role is for you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain speed, accuracy, and consistency during service
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
  • Set up, maintain, and break down workstations
  • Assist with inventory, product rotation (FIFO), and labeling
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen leadership and teammates
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
Job Requirements
  • Must be 18+ years of age.
  • At least 3-5 years of prior cooking or line experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift 50 lbs., and handle hot items safely.
  • Available for nights, weekends, and peak service hours.
  • Serv Safe certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
