- 4+ years of experience within an e-commerce or corporate retail organization, preferred
- A strong interest in building a career in buying and/or supplier relationship management
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A personable and energetic communicator, eager to build relationships with new business partners
- Ability to communicate and feel comfortable speaking directly with C-suite level suppliers from large companies
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once (you don’t miss the details)
- An interest in, and/or ability to learn retail math concepts
- Analytical thinker who looks for (and finds) answers in the data

This is an on-site position which requires 4 days in our Boston Office.
We’re seeking highly analytical, passionate, entrepreneurial individuals who thrive in diverse cross-functional environments to join the Perigold Category Management team. In this role, you will be expected to define overarching goals and strategy within your category, problem-solve, articulate and execute against tactical plans, and manage key business metrics. Category Management associates must be able to expertly negotiate internally and externally, while also being effective project managers.

The Perigold Category Management team offers a unique opportunity to drive strategy for Wayfair’s newest brand, targeting the luxury home market. We are focused on providing an unparalleled assortment of luxury home goods through an elevated online shopping experience for our customers. We do this by connecting the best brands with our luxury customer while working on product curation, brand marketing and storytelling, building a best-in-class site experience, and providing best-in-class service and delivery.
We serve as ambassadors for the categories we manage by identifying and solving unique customer and supplier challenges. Internally we partner with various teams including Profit Management, Merchandising, Partner Operations, Marketing, Brand and Curated Merchandising and Promotions to bring the Perigold vision to life.
