Selling And Service Assistant

Summary

The Selling And Service Assistant supports front- and back-of-house operations at the Hermès Boston boutique, ensuring accurate transaction processing and assisting after-sales services. The role partners with the sales and operations teams to maintain merchandising standards, manage POS activities, and support inventory flow in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.

• Process point-of-sale transactions accurately and assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Provide high levels of client service at the register, including gift wrapping and client interactions.
• Support the sales team with merchandising, returning merchandise to the floor, and retrieving stock.
• Maintain selling floor standards and keep POS stations and supplies stocked.
• Assist with stockroom operations including replenishment, tagging, ticketing, and inventory preparation.
• Support after-sales services: log repairs, contact clients, and maintain records; update CRM files.
• Answer phones and handle inquiries professionally and promptly.

• Minimum 1 year retail experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
• Experience with POS and cash handling strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service orientation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and use Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with composure and lift up to 25 lbs.
