The Dispensary Supervisor assists with the day‑to‑day operations of the dispensary and provides support for the management team. This position maintains best‑in‑class customer service while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. The supervisor sets the standard for performance and keeps associates motivated, requiring strong leadership qualities and a thorough understanding of dispensary inventory and products.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide best‑in‑class customer service to customers.
- Follow and uphold established policies for sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of all products and strains, share industry‑wide product knowledge with the team.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels and communicate action items with management.
- Assist all associates in consulting customers with knowledge of different consumption methods.
- Delegate tasks during shifts, including cash handling, POS operation, data entry, delivery verification, security, store maintenance, visitor logs, end‑of‑day updates, and vault accuracy.
- Work with management to ensure operations run smoothly and in compliance with rules and regulations.
- Maintain daily activities, collect data for reported issues and complaints.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new staff in partnership with the management team.
- Cannabis experience required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong retail math skills required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operations.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Positive attitude, team player, strong work ethic.
- Understanding of applicable state and local laws, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes, and organizational SOPs.
- Remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to internalize training and follow instructions.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
The physical demands of this job require standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
