Healthcare Finance Manager, Payer Operations & Strategy, One Medical

About the Role

Amazon One Medical is hiring a Finance Manager for our Senior Health Value Based Care position. Finance is critical to the success of our mission. We see the entire picture, and are a cornerstone to driving the right investments, maintaining controllership, and distilling down the right stories to push our business forward.

• Ownership of monthly Medicare deep dives into variance drivers and reporting, including gathering, manipulating, analyzing, and exporting/importing data from internal data warehouse and payer provider portals, as well as providing variance analyses and report outs to leadership.
• Partner with the business and finance leaders to develop long‑term strategies and new initiatives to delight our customers.
• Partner with Business Intelligence, Science and Fin Tech to implement data‑driven reporting, and driver‑based forecasting solutions utilizing internal systems and AI tools.

Potentially work on:

• Own and update detailed Medicare finance drivers weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review metrics across the senior health value based care business.
• Reconciliation models for eligibility records and payments.
• FP&A work streams and mechanisms.
• Extensive month‑end and quarter‑ended variance analysis.
• ROI analysis on current and new Medicare programs to determine long‑term growth.
• Deep dive modeling for KPIs of value based care.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
• 3+ years experience in Medicaid or Medicare or government‑sponsored healthcare or payer‑based healthcare.
• 5 years of finance experience, or master’s degree and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
• MBA, or CPA.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

USA, MA, Boston – 95,400.00– USD annually
USA, NY, New York – – USD annually
USA, WA, Seattle – 95,400.00– USD annually
