Role DescriptionAs a Sales Associate at Harry & Lou South Boston Boutique, you will provide attentive, friendly customer service and support shoppers in finding styles that fit their needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting customers, answering product questions, offering styling suggestions, and processing sales transactions at the register. You will help maintain store appearance by restocking merchandise, organizing displays, keeping fitting rooms tidy, and supporting visual merchandising changes.
The role also involves handling returns, managing inventory counts, and communicating customer feedback to the store manager. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Boston, MA, with hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all shoppers.
- Effective verbal communication skills for engaging with customers, answering questions, and collaborating with team members.
- Basic retail and sales skills, including operating a point-of-sale system, handling cash and card payments, and managing returns or exchanges.

- Interest in fashion, styling, and trends, with the ability to make product recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Reliability and flexibility to work part-time shifts, including weekends and peak shopping periods.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and perform routine physical tasks in a retail environment.
