We’re looking for a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team at USU Solutions. This is a key role in our sales process, responsible for generating qualified opportunities and fueling our sales pipeline.
As a BDR, you’ll work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Marketing to identify, engage, and convert target prospects into discovery calls and product demonstrations. You’ll also participate in a structured sales training program tailored to USU’s offerings, helping you develop deep product knowledge and sharpen your sales skills.
This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about tech, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow their career in software sales.
Primary Responsibilities:Prospect and qualify leads through outbound outreach (phone, email, Linked In, etc.) and follow up on inbound leads from Marketing
Drive initial engagement and schedule discovery meetings and demos for the sales team
Partner with Regional Sales Managers to strategically cover assigned territories and move prospects into the sales funnel
Leverage tools like Hub Spot, Salesforce, Linked In Sales Navigator, and other prospecting platforms to manage outreach
Participate in USU’s ongoing sales training and coaching programs (e.g., Sandler methodology)
Maintain accurate records of activities and progress in our CRM system (Hub Spot, and soon to be Salesforce)
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs for meetings booked and qualified opportunities created

Qualifications:- 0-2 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a similar outbound sales role
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
- Familiarity with IT operations, systems management, or enterprise software is a plus
- Experience using Hub Spot CRM, Salesforce, Sales Navigator, and modern sales tools
- Understanding of software license management or SaaS sales is a bonus
- Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Able to work independently while staying aligned with broader team goals
