AEC Business Development Manager
VODA.ai is seeking a full-time remote AEC Business Development Manager to drive adoption of our AI solutions across the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) consulting sector, particularly within the water and wastewater industry. The role focuses on identifying, engaging, and building relationships with AEC firms, expanding our footprint, and contributing to revenue growth.

- Develop commercial strategies targeting AEC firms in the water and wastewater sector.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers, technical teams, and project managers.
- Present tailored demos and presentations that align with client needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align product solutions with market requirements.
- Travel up to 60% to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Minimum of 3 years of applicable engineering experience in the water or wastewater sector, or working directly for a utility.
- Proven track record of success in B2B or B2G sales, ideally within AEC or related industries such as water utilities.
- Strong understanding of AEC firms’ business models, workflows, and challenges in the water and wastewater sector.
- Exceptional communication and relationship‑building skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Enjoy frequent travel as part of your role.
- Are energetic, outgoing, and eager to grow in sales and business development with an engineering background.
- Can develop and execute commercial strategies that create mutual profitability for both VODA.ai and AEC partners.
- Excel at building relationships with decision‑makers, technical teams, and project managers.
- Are skilled at presenting solutions through tailored demos and presentations.
- Can work effectively with outside sales staff to present solutions to end‑users.
- Are adept at negotiating and closing deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Can maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipelines, and customer interactions in Hub Spot CRM.
- Stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in AEC and water utilities.
- Are passionate about technology, sustainability, and making a meaningful impact in the water industry.
