Hot Water - Steam Systems OEM seeks Commercial Technical Sales Specialist
for Mid-Atlantic / Northeast Region
Our client manufactures Residential & Commercial Gas and Oil-fired Hot Water and Steam Systems plus Direct-Vent and Natural Draft Venting products. From design engineers to skilled assembly personnel, they are committed to providing the best-built boiler possible. The Commercial Technical Sales Specialist (CTSS) calls on Mechanical Contractors, Specifying Engineers, Architects and other influencers to assure that our client's product offerings are the basis of design for upcoming construction or renovation projects. The CTSS will also call on wholesale distributors and owners directly such as hospitality, healthcare and manufacturers in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Region. Additionally, they will call on certain types of builders to promote the company’s products.
The CTSS works to achieve sales and profit goals in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast Region. The right candidate will be well-qualified to design and recommend sales programs and set short-and-long term sales strategies. They will also evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region’s sales volume.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Presents and sells company products and services to current and potential clients
- Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
- Identifies sales prospects and contacts these and other assigned accounts.
- Prepares presentations, proposals and sales contracts
- Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Establishes and maintains current client and potential client relationships.
- Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-ups.
- Prepares a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Communicates new product and services opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations

- Technical knowledge of engineering and product development
- Four-year Mechanical Engineering degree with 5+ years of Engineering management experience
- Experience in Manufacturing or a Manufacturing company preferred
