Account Manager - Greenville Professional Services

Job Title:

Account Manager Building Materials / Slab Distribution

Location:

Greenville, SC

Pay: $65,000 $ 75,000 Base + Quarterly Bonus ($2K $3K)

Schedule:

Full Time | Onsite with Regional Travel

Our client is a leading distributor within the building materials industry, specializing in premium surface materials and serving designers, architects, builders, and fabricators across the region. Known for strong market presence and high quality products, the organization continues to expand its footprint by building strategic relationships and delivering exceptional service to customers.

They are looking for you, an experienced Account Manager, to manage an established book of business while driving growth within the territory. This role requires a producer mindset, strong relationship building skills, and experience building materials.

What you get to do:

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts
  • Build strong relationships with fabricators, designers, architects, and builders
  • Develop strategic sales plans to increase market penetration
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and support
  • Conduct regular customer visits and maintain reporting on account activity
  • Promote product knowledge and assist with showroom displays and customer education
  • Participate in industry events and local professional organizations to expand brand presence
  • Collaborate with leadership on territory planning and sales strategies

What you need to succeed:

  • Minimum 3+ years of sales experience
  • Experience with in building materials, stone, surfaces, or related industries
  • Proven ability to manage accounts and grow revenue within a territory
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills

    Producer mentality with a hunter mindset for new opportunities
  • Ability to travel regionally within the assigned territory
  • Degree preferred, but industry experience is valued more than education
